  • 15 Year Absence.

Hi all, I used to smoke the odd cigar but haven't lit one up in over a decade (the last one I had was on a golf course & turned me green). I have a 50 count humidor (which probably needs re-seasoning) & a handful of cicars left. They are (in no particular order)....

    Partagas Black Series
    Partagas Maduro Naturale (I think)
    Partagas Serie D No2 LE 2003
    Partagas Serie D No1 LE 2004

Would be great to hear where you guys get your smokes from

I don't think I was prepared for the strength kick of it, plus probably didn't eat enough before hand

I hear you. I've only had a few cigars over the years get me like this. And that's not after a hiatus or anything. Also had plenty cigars on an empty stomach with no issues. One of them things!

              Bienvenidos amigo!

I love learning about older cigars.. and had to look those up!

I have also felt that sickness a couple of times over the past few years.. and sugar seems to be the thing that saves me!!

                Welcome!
Looks like you have some really excellent aged sticks there

My first "proper" robusto sized cigar made me go a bit green, and it was only a Hoyo Epicure no.2 - I've since learned to smoke slower and take a break from the stick if I need to

Welcome back buddy, simple answer to your question, because of the prices here now most of us try to stock up on holiday. Take your partner and double your allowance!

I watched a Kirby Allison video yesterday where a discussion came up with Edward & Eddie Sahakian regarding the pricing being made universal wherever they are bought?

Yup. Was announced by Habanos shortly after the Chinese mystery buyer acquired the Altadis share. The global pricing was being set according to the Hong Kong pricing. Obviously the final retail price still differs around the world. Maybe the pricing Habanos sells out to all the regional entities is now the same? Who knows.

Not all cigars are Cuban though

Wow, just looked up the cost of a couple if cigars on my bucket list, and looks like my return to smoking is going to be EXTREMELY short lived..

                              £48 for a H. Upmann Magnum 54 😳😳😳
