  • Hi returning to the cigars

    Hi
I'm trying to get back into cigars after a lay off smoking completely for about 5 years. I tried a few on a recent holiday to Spain but admittedly didn't spend more than 2 euros on a stick and I found them mostly a little harsh. This could be due to my lack of smoking or just cheap stogies.
Any recommendations for some mild ones to get me back in that aren't gonna break the bank.

    Thanks

    Lee

Hi Lee, your gonna have to spend a few more tokens to get anything half decent. Have you tried Juan Lopez no.2?

Hi and welcome. Give a Hoyo de Monterey Petit Robusto a go. Mild but yummy.

Thank you for the quick replies, we've booked a holiday to Cuba next year and there's a possibility we may go this August are there any recomendations for things to look out for there? Were staying in Cayo Guillermo and I'm not sure there's much there but there are cigar shops at the hotels.

Also do any of the supermarkets have hidden gems ?

Mainly look for La Casa Del Habanos to guarantee genuine sticks . Try and get to Havana.

            Hi
I don't think Havana will be an option as it's a long way from where we are going to be. However who knows. Are humidors cheaper to buy out there as I'll need something to store all the cigars I'll be bringing back in

Hey Lee...there's a limit on what you can bring back (50?) so just store the cigars in the original boxes then transfer them when you get back. Do you have a humi already? Ebay's a good place to try if you don't

Hi I've done a bit of research and found that you can bring back 50 hand rolled ones and upto 200 machine rolled cigars unless I'm wrong ? I'm going to try and get some of the peso cigars.

Can I bring back more than 50 hand rolled ones provided I pay any duty on them ?

No I don't have a humidor already so if anyone knows of a second hand one

                Thanks
