Bom dia David, I have happy memories of holidaying in Lagos and Praia da Luz but before I started smoking cigars so I'm interested in your answer to Oskihen's question as I never noticed any cigar shops.
It's a very sweet liquor. Hard to point finger on the exact flavours.
Very sweet, smooth, I know Johnny Thunder has tried it, maybe he can expand on my brief description?
It's almost medicinal tasting. The UK price is approx ?20+ a bottle.
Buy it in Portugal and it's around ?8 give or take.
I would say it is a little chocolate/caramel tasting with hints of citrus. Orange maybe.
There are lots of faint herbs in there too. A beautiful sweet drink to pair with the right cigar.
Yes I agree: Medicinal, herby, slight citrus. Very smooth.
For me it's my 'go to drink' with a cigar, as long as I have stock of course!
Welcome to the site David. What part of Portugal do you live?

Very few shops, actually! You've got the Habanos in Lisbon, Cigarworld stores in Lisbon and Porto, a couple small online stores and a few other stores that also sell cigars among other things, mostly brick and mortar shops. Needless to say, I get most of my cigars online and in duty free shops. I've browsed a few UK shops as well, but the prices were steep... perhaps I've been looking in the wrong place!
Heeeeeyyyy!!!!!! Welcome to the site David!
Can you tell what my favourite cigar drink is?
Ah, Licor Beir?o! One of the most popular drinks in Portugal, specially in the last decade or so. I actually haven't tried it with a cigar, but I will soon!
Personally, I'm a big fan of single malts, particularly the peatier ones, Lagavulin 16YO probably being my favorite drink. Aguardente, which is a distilled Portuguese drink somewhat similar to Whisky, goes really well with cigars, even more so then most Single Malts, IMO. You guys should try it when you get a chance!
