Gracias, Amigo! That sounds like a real possibility.
The fans do run high when I reboot. I also found a gpu sensor app which was set to XP, so I reset it to Windows 7. Next I'll check the driver for the graphics card.

LOCK DOWN!
Greetings Geeks! Today's letter comes from a poster in State of Mind, Mexico.
Senor El Perro writes:
"My PC with [Edit: Windows 7] Pro locks up occasionally while in screen saver mode, causing a need to re-boot the system, sometimes several times, before it would work.
Mr. Computer Man, any ideas why this is happening and how it can be fixed?
Does anyone want to assist our mexicant amigo?Last edited by TJCoro; 29-11-2012, 11:30 PM.Tags: None
