    Hurumph-Hurumph! Quite right, old bean.

    We Are

I realise this thread was meant in jest but I have to put my oar in. Fnar fnar.

Much as I dislike spelling mistakes and clumsy grammar, I don't feel it is my place to edit how others express themselves. Also, if someone came on and spoke in text speak, I suspect it wouldn't need a moderator to jump right in and give them a swift kick in the 'nads. I would suspect that the poster would be left with no doubt whatsoever that posts are expected to be of a certain standard.

Continuing in the same vein as Nic, being a moderator gives you nothing other than more responsibilities. We have to make judgement calls that may well make us unpopular, but without some level of editing, this place (as any other forum) would rapidly degenerate into a spam-filled flamewar.

We're just normal guys, with normal lives, who don't get paid or get any kickbacks/free stuff to be moderators. We do it so this can be the place you can come and express yourselves about cigars, booze and quite frankly, just about any old shit you like within reason.
