This is not a really a surprise, is it? Many many people have been mugged off with the bloom/plume line when buying overpriced tobacco. I wonder who invented the ruse.

That's what I thought. Plume is like Santa Claus (or "someone" else but let's not get into that), a lot of people believe in him but he simply doesn't exist.

Bit of an update, testing was done over in Australia on this, interesting outcome. But basically its always mold
The idea behind the mould study was to shed some light into the world of mould and plume. Earlier in the year we asked for examples of both from members and then selected 10 representative cigars for testing. Testing was undertaken by the team at Australia Biotech Laboratories. Apologies if I am overstepping, but can something simple like this not be used?

Maybe give VTG a custom title like Research Co-ordinator or something, and permission to pursue this on behalf of the forum?

Ok, first step while we wait for things to progress. It would be helpful initially to collect together some high quality photos of Plume/Blume/Mold/Mould.
Any help appreciated

Exmoor, my home turf. Lovely part of the world. The ponies there can be a bit unpredictable. People feed them all sorts, and then when they come to you for food and you don't feed them they get a bit uppity.
Glad you love my part of the world

Went wild camping on Dartmoor some years back. Woke up very early before pals, sat outside my tent with a brew, watching the deer a stones throw from where we were camped, overlooking the Bristol Channel. A lovely moment and in the days before I had a camera phone stapled to my hand, but one that I'll never forget.

Obviously I am not authorised to do this and it looks like they want to be sure this is a legit request and not some bloke just wasting their time.
@Deano or any of the mods, advice please????

Great work Marc, Haven't any mouldy or plume covered cigars at present though; Mitch offered to send samples for testing, time to take him up on it.
