I have been using a Xikar for 3 years. Just recently, i bought a
Palio and i stop using the Xikar. I feel that the Palio cuts a better cleaner cut.

I just purchased the "cigar stand" that everybody is going GaGA over from a vendor that featured the Palio. Wish I had seen this post sooner, senor BJ, so I could have taken a closer look at this bad boy.

The latest issue of C.A. has a small article and pictures that
talks about the Palio cutter.

For my smaller/thinner smokes I use the Colibri 'punch' and for my larger/thicker smokes I use the Solingen 'purdey' V cutter, very nice it is too...!!!

Xeto

At the moment I have a bunch of cheapo cutters and a nice pair of goldie Davidoff Scissors (which are amazing but more for aesthetic purposes).

I'm looking for a good reliable cutter, so was pleased when the mexican started this thread. I was going to go for a xikar but on my search for cheapness I found the xeto (which is around the same price of the xikar that I'm looking at.

Anyone came across the xeto cutter?

Also came across a Hugo boss version of it at over ?200! It's exactly the same as the others only with "Hugo boss" laser etched onto it!

I'm thinking between a xikar and this. Xikar is tried and tested but do I go for the xeto just to be different?

Senor Kdot, although I have no experience with either of these cutters, both are quite beautiful and would enhance any puro collection. Especially if the blades are a sharp as their looks, which no doubt, they are. So if money is not a consideration and prestige is...go for it! I certainly would.

But for my dinero, you can't beat the Cuban Crafter Cutter, which I discoverd on this fine forum. It never disappoints! So, when I elect to cut my puro (rather than punch) , I always turn to my trusty CC cutter.

Kdot, I'll be interested to hear if they are any good if you get one. The way the blades meet looks like it would give a decent cut. I could have sworn these were way more expensive a few months ago!

I'm currently using a Palio which is satisfactory. Good design, but I need to give it a clean as the blades are a little sticky and catching slightly when I cut.

I have a cheap double bladed cutter that i bought from a seller on Amazon of all places.
It was ?12, and gives me the perfect cut every time, very sharp. Better still, its very thin, and lives in one of the credit card slots of my wallet, so its very convenient, and means if i'm out and about, i never forget it
