How do you get the bands off un-lit cigars ....

I agree with Nic. Let the heat loosen it first before having at it.

This has got to be one of the first questions I asked when I joined this forum and I went to Edward Sahakian at Davidoff for the answer and it was... Don't!

To put a bit more mat on the bones...the bands are put on by hand and sometimes some glue will escape and stick the band to the cigar. In this case you might knacker or tear the wrapper if you try to remove the band.

If it revolves and is loose by all means slip it off, if not wait until the cigar warms up a bit and this will most likely release it a bit. Sometimes you have no choice but to tear them if you want to enjoy the end of the cigar.

I've stuck to this since and have never torn a wrapper.
