UK prices are a real killer, sure I would never have accrued a collection if limited to buying here. Smoking one good cigar a week is a fine way to start this hobby, I did this for years. These days I try to limit to twice a week, with occasional three times, if on hols or meeting up for a herf ect.

If only smoking weekly then a mini probably won't satisfy, I would recommend a Petit Corona size, which are a 40-50min smoke. A Robusto or larger for special occasions, lasting 50 - 90mins are suitable for birthdays & red letter days.

Which you chose of those formats is dictated by price. I would buy half a dozen of three or four vitolas & then you have something different to look fwd too.

PLPC, Monte No4, HUHC, Party or R&RJ Mille Fleurs.

Uk prices sure are a killer and would deter many from buying them (guess that's the point) I have modest funds so won't be going all out I'm hoping it's something that I can do over years aquire a collection whilst also having 2-3 sticks a week.

Petite Corona has been one of the most recommend sizes to me and the ones I have had have been nice I also love the robusto and Churchill sizes I have had too so much choice guess this rabbit hole has gotten a hold of me

Let us know what you receive & your opinion on the cigars & if you think the subscription turns out to be good value for money.

I've done quite a few with Robert Graham over the past year and half and a couple with Cgars. Also occasionally I've sat and enjoyed a smoke while watching some of the Instagram videos that Nick Monty Cristo does. The "chew the fat" ones he does with Steve of Robert Graham are great. A few good ones with Lawrence at Sautter too. I've only caught one or two live but these can be watched anytime.
If you've not tried a virtual tasting and you fancy one I'd recommend one of the Robert Graham ones as they are a bit more of an 'event' with some live music and they've had some brilliant presentations.

I can only vouch for the Boli CJ, very decent smoke. The Bonitia was similar but joined the ever growing ranks of the discontinued lines.

The Bonita was a nice wee smoke... I've still got a petaca of 5 that I can't bring myself to break into

Nice selection, I've smoked all of those or a variant, interested to see what you make of the AJF as it is highly rated but was a bit flat for me, esp at the price. Have a Boli CJ ready to smoke this W/E for me too. Let it rest for a couple of weeks or a month if you can, NCs you can smoke earlier.

Don't want to jinx it but I can't remember the last time I've used my PerfecDraw or had major burn issues this year since switching to 65% Bovedas for both CCs and NCs, seems to be ideal for me so far.

Yeah I'm looking forward to smoking the A.J Fernández one, unfortunately I was too eager to try the boli that it has vanished don't know what happened to it
