I've been reasonably lucky so far with Monte 2s, so the recommendation thing is the other way round for me. If I were recommending something (production) around the Petit Robusto size I'd go HdM.

Personally I prefer the Monte PE to the Hoyo PR, but each to their own.

it could be that the monte PE is the best monte and the hoyo PR the best hoyo,looking for what you guys think are the best in each brand

Monte 2 vs the Petit Edmundo... you can get a more satisfying smoking experience with a Monte 2... but only with the right one, production is probably still a little inconsistent. But Regarding the PE, I can't remember ever smoking a bad one while I can think of many 'ho hum' Monte 2's over the last five or six years.
