A genuine vendor knows their stock to the last outer of matches, anyone who doesn't is just a middle man for some warehouse somewhere.

I could not agree more, senor Wiseone!

Which is why I'm down to relying on only one vendor these days - all the other stopped providing box dates upon request. I say F' 'em!

Not even a tasty box of Secretos? [emoji4]

Hmmm, that's a good idea. My regular vendor provides box dates but most don't.

    What's your secret?

    An interesting thought.

At present I am just buying singles of this and that as I gauge my palette/taste.

I can't ever seeing buying a box (25) but am happy buying in 3s and 5s.

Just ordered a box of 5 Monte No4 to hand out on Sunday as we are having lunch for mothers 70 birthday, probably only myself and my brother will partake so will leave a few spare

I have absolutely no idea what the split is between the packets and boxes.

I agree, but Habanos obviously don't .... they've discontinued loads.

No, I've not bought any Cohiba from an airport, but I do get vendors to supply the box outer dates before I buy Cohiba packs. I haven't managed to get any with 6 years behind them, but 3s and 4s I have done.

    Missing You!

Interesting, muchacho. Several years ago don TJ used to buy Cohibas by the box loads, mostly Siglo VI, Robusto, Siglo !, and Secretos.

After he took off with his mentor brujo, don Juan, we began looking for suitable substitutes we could afford and came up with a few less expensive alternatives.

Sadly, haven't bought a box of Cohibas of any sort in some time and I miss 'em!

So now, like you, I look for the smaller packs in the airports!
