I guess there's simply an oversupply of these and it's possible they'd be bought back once stock levels fall again ?

Well ..... I'll count myself lucky at getting a box of La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.4 the other week. At the time I did check out the Vintage prices at CoH and they were high. I had intended getting a 10 box of Medaille d'Or No.1 this week, but they have disapeared of the stock list. Strangely so have all La Gloria out of the vintage list. Had a quick punt around a few sites, same story!

    Check out your own favourites!

This is the proposed list....may be changes....but last year's list proved to be 99% correct.

Apparently these cigars are not selling and sources say there are large warehoused stocks just sitting around.

Long & thin appears to be unpopular.....

There's a few good smokes on that list... interesting most are thin gauge's, not fashionable I guess. RS11's are a great cigar with age, same with the party connoisseur and Gloria No.1 these long Laguito's are hard to roll, more profit in a Robusto maybe!

Thanks for the heads up, Trevor! That's a shame about the Dippy #4. I rather like those. Good thing I have box.

Heck! Quite a dent in the Diplomaticos, La Gloria Cubana, Saint Luis Rey and Vagueros range.

If I'm not mistaken that brings Diplomaticos down to a single vitola (No.2), La Gloria Cubana to 3 (No.2, No.4 and Tainos), Saint Luis Rey to 3 (Regio, Serie A and DC) and Vagueros down to 2 (Marevas and Seoane)

It would be interesting to understand the logic behind these choices, but it almost seems that Habanos is looking at sacrificing the so called Local Brands in favor of the more global ones... personally I find that a shame, I quite like the variety of choice.

I'll need to get another box of Diplomatiocs no.5 now... that I have an excuse for it .
