That's the thing. They are very uniform in colour...just noticeably lighter than the other boxes of d4's I have. Whatever they are, they are have the same wrappers, just not that normal, dark chocolate colour I have come to recognize the d4s for.Last edited by daverave999; 20-01-2010, 01:59 AM.

Does anyone think the wrapper colour being different is odd?
not really. are they very close to the same in color to the other sticks in the box? especially the top layer?

If I said they smoke great, I meant the draw was good, sorry. They taste ALRIGHT, not amazing. Also, there are a lot of little details my camera just can't seem to capture. One is that the bands are more shinny and orange, the other is that the ends of the bands don't meet perfectly on most of them, which is odd, considering ALL my other bands on ALL my cigars meet perfectly.

hmm... so everything but the wrapper color and cedar sheet is the same... construction... bands.. box... and they smoke great...
if it was me... i wouldn't worry and smoke away... and if u bought them from a reputable company... they should switch it out for you..
so enough of this indiana jones adventures on finding out where they are from... same for morris

My real d4's with the ones from the sponsor. They look chocolaty brown like the ones I know are real. The others look lighter in colour.Attached FilesLast edited by cigarssogood; 23-12-2009, 12:03 AM.

My apologies in advance for not having the original box for the d4s I know to be genuine. I needed to make space in the humidor so I just put them in the top part of an Edmundo box.
This is the first picture. My camera is older and not great, but hopefully it shows the color disparity between the wrappers at least. The cigars on the left are for sure real, the ones on the right may be fake.
Addendum: Speak of the devil. I received a box of 10 d4's from the sponsor today. I forgot I ordered them. How serendipitous. I will take photos of them for another comparison.Attached Files
