Now we're running on technicalities mate. If you wish to umbrella it, it would be a terror strike.
However, most terrorist strikes are not meant to cause terror.
Terrorism more often than not has the intent to cause terror in a given region or society. Whereas a murder of one or two people has more of a secluded reason than "causing mass hysteria."

Bottom line: it's the intent.

No the definition of terrorism is performing acts to cause terror. This may be killing or bombing or just threats to cause panic. Killing an innocent person is just murder killing a guilty one is revenge (and still murder). Both can be acts of terror

The worse used by the news reader are NOT to inspire debate to but to berate the pro gun lobby and support the anti gun lobby. So not debate in the true unbiased sense.

Again, it's to get the ratings and the sidings (and therefore money) of one politically charged peoples.

i'm not sure that most of you would know about this, much less remember it!! in the 1980's the magaret thatcher banned sinn fein from speaking on tv, british media used to dub over any member (especially gerry adams), to prevent them using 'coded' language or tonal gestures that would influence their sympathizers:

Surely the fact that they let this man speak proves them to be unbiased? It would be wrong to stop him! Besides, in the wake of the murder they have shown mostly Muslims against such acts, which represents the population nicely.

And Eddie, there is no real debate in the UK about firearms! I haven't seen them show anything on it other than about the USA when they always have one person from each side. I don't see this as a good example of them being biased.

Im not too sure on the internal political stance of the BBC but when i use it for international news (which is my first news source for African and Asain news),they seem to be nice and factual.
I guess in any news outlet, the chief editor or whoever hires editors ends up having a political viewpoint that affects the entire office. And as that festers after years and decades, the news outlet will not hire people with different view points. Thus making the source lie on these weird political sidings.

Whilst the BBC give the likes of Anjem Choudary airtime, how can you possibly say the BBC is un-biased..
Hate preaching, jihadist scum like him IMO should be shot not listened too..he has no thoughts of integration into our UK society.
There are many ways of interpreting any written word, but the hate is preached openly in mosques around the country, why isn't this stopped by the other muslims who believe in their understanding of the Quaran.
I understand the Quaran condemns non-muslims to death by stating only those that kill the Infidel will be guaranteed a place in paradise..??

Alex, the similes between the on-going peace process in NI & what is happening over here now is quite scary.
Same doctrine of denial & refusal to condemn these sociopaths, political leaders with their heads in the sand.
I personally don't like the word terrorist,that gives a certain legitimacy to murderers & scum.
It is about time our politicos realised there is a war going on, on our own doorsteps.

Sam you are mistaken with that view I'm afraid. If you look at any of the stories about firearms you'll see emotive negative statement continuously used. They will use inaccuracies and misleading statements to push an anti firearm view. They are politically motivated as are all new organizations.
