I just got an order from them yesterday and I was more than happy and will use them again.

Could even be one of those internet rumours sparked off by a bad customer/digruntled employee/rival firm.

Yeah that was the forum I saw Stevie. I think it's one of those sites where you can't mention 'sources'. Googling both those odd names comes up with Swedish stuff for me.

That said, those who are concerned and wish to use a prepaid card might find this and this useful.

The site I was looking was saying the problem might even be Swedish in origin....come to think of it, the name [EDIT: ALLEGED SITE HERE] wasn't even mentioned in the post I saw!?!?! LINK

Like Dave, I'm not writing [EDIT: ALLEGED SITE HERE]'off just yet.....

    a) They might still have my card details as I've purchased there before ie. 'too late now'
    b) My bank texts me every time the card is used overseas, with a number to contact if I dispute it.
    c) I'm pretty sure the card companies will be down on this like a ton of bricks due to the sudden rash of activity.
    d) People around here have spoken about [EDIT: ALLEGED SITE HERE]'s excellent customer service before. That ain't suddenly going to stop.

Each to their own though... I ain't going to start paying premium prices on the off-chance this might happen.
The forum I found discussing this, five people appear to have been affected. Not all of them used the same vendor so there is speculation that the card processing company is at fault. I may be looking at a different site to Ryan though.

[EDITED] The point of not mentioning the site is so I couldn't get done for libel. Deano.

First of all: it's ALLEGED. And not confirmed.

Two main sites on here are used in Switzerland. It's not the one beginning with P. If you still don't get it, PM me.

They're not saying it's the site itself, or that it's had a breach, just that something odd is happening and the majority of them have bought from there.

I have to make clear that there is, as yet, no proof that it was one of the cigars vendors or their clearing company that had the security breach, just that purchases with one or more these shops is the only thing that all of these guys (on the other forum) have in common.
These shops, 3 I'm aware of, there may be more, use the same warehouse and clearing company.
Most of the fraudulent charges mentioned so far have been made in Switzerland, two places are mentioned "SJ Kundbokning" and "Gavekortet".
Another guy has had charges from asian airlines.
No idea if fraudulent charges were for cigar purchases in Switzerland, I'd doubt it.
One of the guys is in contact with one of the shops and they are denying it could be them. At the moment it could be just coincidence, however rare.
Since there is no proof yet that is was one of these shops, I won't name them, however, I will pm the names to Deano and let him decide. It's his forum, I think that's fair.

Thanks for the warning, always appreciated. Checking my cards now.
Yes, names please. It doesn't have to mean that the site are dodgy, but merely highlighting that they have been mentioned elsewhere eh Also, have (to your knowledge) these fraudulent purchases been put through as cigars, or other items? Your help for forum members here, is appreciated in advance by all, Ryan.
