I have been listening to the new album by OMD (their first with the original line up in some 20 years). It is surprisingly good - although I have a weakness for 80's electronica, and Andrew McCluskey's voice sounds as good as ever. Went to see them on tour at Brighton at the end of last year, and they were excellent. Nick.

The main squeeze has had Dreamgirls on whilst I've been racking up some gear for work.... I haven't really been watching but I've been listening..... It's truly fucking dreadful... some of the talent of Aretha with none of the taste.

I would like to think I usually have the feel of "In My Humble Opinion" to these sort of post... however this is fact. It's like fingers being dragged down a blackboard. Not because they can't sing, in truth they're ok, but because they have no idea when not to sing! I've been shouting "Shut Up Woman" at the telly all night! Hardly a melody in there.

just going through my old records (yes, vinyl, lol) in my mum's house......... rediscovered scott walker again, it's been about 5 years from i last played these!!! his records 1-4 are incredible, 4 being my favourite!!! i'm asking myself 'why are these not on my ipod?' the man's voice has to be rated as the most amazing ever......... and his songs among the most beautiful committed to vinyl!!!
