Listening to Sheet music and The Original Soundtrack by 10cc at the moment. I always enjoyed this band but with the passage of time, I realise that weren't just good, they were superb!

Wow, never expected to bump into another GbV fan here! I was supposed to be going to meet Rob Pollard at a fan convention next June but it's near my wife's due date so no can do It's one of my biggest musical regrets that I never got to see them live or meet Rob, they actually reformed earlier this year for a few dates across the US.

They are one of my top 5 bands but strangely I've got no interest in other indie bands, especially british ones. I just can't stand stuff like The Stone Roses, Oasis, The Charlatans, the Happy Mondays, there's just no intelligence to it IMO. Americans seem much better at it, with bands like The National.

There are too many Maiden, songs that, could be contenders.

Run to the hills, number of the beast, hallowed be thy name, the clansman. One that, probs not that popular, passchendaele.

    Hope thats spelt correct lol.

Not a popular opinion among metal-heads but I was never a big fan of Sabbath, just never got what all the fus was about. Maiden on the other hand are awesome (even if I don't really like what they've done since Bruce came back), first band I ever saw live at the tender age of 15. If you're looking for the definitive classic metal song then it's got to be Maiden, probably Run to the Hills.

I'm a big fan of progressive rock with a bit of electronica thrown in as well but I'm having a very stressful day at work right now so a little of my favourite piano composer is in order.

I think this is one of the most beautiful and melancholy pieces of music ever written.

brilliant! the guy is a musical genius, the list of great songs he's worked on behind the scenes is impressive.

Love Me Do by The Beatles.

Thats of course followed by Bach's 'Goldberg Variations: Aria' with some father beans and a nice chianti.
