      • I've just finished 'Vindolanda' by Adrian Goldsworthy which is a conspiracy set in Northern Britain in the twilight of the Roman Empire. It was a very good read.

Yes! The sequel 'The Wise Man's Fear' is equally as incredible! Though the years and years of waiting for the third is a wonderful test of patience and memory, a bit like Mr Martin!

Yeah, I already finished that as well and hope that 7 years wait will mean that the next book can't be too far off!

They are turning this into a series and a movie btw.

Let me know how you liked it. I couldn't put it down once I started reading.

I was thinking the same thing 2 years ago...
What's worse is the release date just keeps getting changed - bloody tease!

Are they?! It will make a great series, though they better not get ahead of the author, thats why i have not watched GoTs

The series will be some sort of prequel to the books and the movie then takes on the stories of the books. So should work out fine...

Don't get me started on GoTs. Since the TV writers ran out of books to copy from the series has become such a pile of s***. They ruin the whole thing and G.R.R.Martin is likely to die before he ever finishes another book...

                        Do NOT even think that!

He needs to stop with the side projects, and finish what he started first! Sure 'Martin isn't our bitch', but damn it he does have a responsibility to his readership!

Yeah, I never even read those volumes. Jordan said that there was one more volume to be released to end the story. How many volumes did they publish after his death? 3 or more?

Terry Pratchett has the right idea, getting it legally destroyed on his death to prevent posthumous releases that are subpar.
