Don’t they all get better with age? That’s the most challenging part of collecting and smoking cigars.

Yeah, most of them do. And it is. That's why I like getting some singles with a little age on them. I can smoke those while my boxes sleep and grew old.

Im down to my last few 2009 Epi 1’s, Corona Gorda is one of my favourite formats and the 09’s are sensational. It’s time to start putting some away for the future.

Connie 1's are great. Used to be able to find them usually with some good age on until people started to twig how good they were.

I was looking at the Xikar ones then came across this on eBay for less than a quarter of the cost, at that price I thought it was worth a shot and I’m quite impressed.

These landed today, never smoked one but I love Upmann so I?m sure they?ll be great.



Also not a cigar but I picked this up from eBay after realising last holiday that I couldn?t quite fit long smokes into my containers. It?s pretty deep, comes with 3 layers of sponge to stack layers and all for ?17.50... bargain.

Lusitania inside for scale.

There is no way near enough Lonsdales or Coronas, both great sized imo. I need a box of Monte 1s and Fonseca No1s to get my fix.

There’s some quality on that list Mike, I’m yet to try a La Trova but I love Trinidad so I’m sure it will be a winner. That’s just got me thinking, imagine a Trinidad Lonsdale

I agree, not enough of them around anymore.

I'm pretty sure that the La Trova will be a very good smoke.

Well, there were two Trini Lonsdales, one was released in a special humidor with 150 made, lol and the other one was the 2007 EL. I should have grabbed a box of those since they were still available a few years ago. But I went for one measily single instead, doh!

I like a good Robusto from time to time. But you are right it's all about Lonsdales. But we both know that there aren't too many left and that the discontinued ones are hard to track down.

I currently have 24 boxes I want or of which I'd like a second one in the wishlist thingy on the Cubancigarwebsite. None of them are REs or LEs, all regular production except for 4 which are LCDH releases.

My highest priorities are Party Salomones, SCdLH La Fuerza, JL No.1, Trini Fundis and La Trova. But I have found a box of the La Trova thanks to a certain gentleman who offered me to let one of his boxes go to thank me for services rendered.

The Mag 46 and the RA Gigantes were high on the list as well but I got them this week. I had to choose between the RAG and a box of Fundis and went for the RAG because of the rumor of it being discontinued soon.
