Does the dye impart any flavour or ghosting, or even change the quality of the pipe for smoking? I presume not, but I am curious, as the difference between a varnished and an unvarnished cob is surprisingly noticeable.

A purple Cob is next, with a slight mod. I'm just waiting on a few come through the door. Once I get them, I'm going to make a few inclined cherrywood/pokers."Go you good things...geddem int'ya"

Third of the new blends to end the day with, jackknife plug in the newish 317, have to say it's the driest plug I've tried to date, still, it's very tasty

Some paul sko...? B&B . i cant remember the exact name and its two floors away from my warm spot on the couch..... Had a third of a bowl in the moonshine as i am still breaking it in... from the samples kindly shared by smokey joe ... Delightfully smooth and easy going. Some nice subtle dark cherry flavours in the background. Really enjoyed it thank you!
Discovered the risk of smoking out in the falling temp.... Condensation in the bowl!

Glad you're enjoying the tobacco Emaresee
Out and about this morning having a bowl of black pudding in the park & I see what you're saying cj121 there is a fruitiness to it,up front. I tend to retro-hale and I guess I missed it 1st time.
