Looks good cj & a nice deep colour, did you use sharpies again? I saw a guy who customises cars using them, on Jay Leno's garage, he puts a clear coat over to preserve the work.

Cheers SJ I've gone semi pro on this one :Fiebings leather dye and a carnabau(spelling) wax based neutral shoe polish as the sealer. I gave it a good buffing afterwards...with an old TShirt.

Funny you should mention the car aspect as I was looking at a YouTube video the other week about that. It may have been the same, but I can't remember the name now. Sharpies rock (apart from when they mark the dining room table as our lads have a pack of vibrant colours )

It is a versatile media, to use a marker pen on a car to make a living is quite remarkable. Those bones pipes look good, I like the company ethos.

The briar cigar chillum they (Morgan Pipes) make is really interesting, I could go for one of those. Not smoked a chillum for decades, it was made of clay not wood. The narrow bore and long length would, I suppose, have a beneficial effect on the flavour of pipe tobaccco.

Same as yesterday, another half bowl of Holly's Discovery Flake in the Morgan Bones. I gave this the Purple treatment yesterday and I'm quite pleased with the depth of colour.

Does the dye impart any flavour or ghosting, or even change the quality of the pipe for smoking? I presume not, but I am curious, as the difference between a varnished and an unvarnished cob is surprisingly noticeable.

Cheers PM. No impact upon flavour at all. I imagine the dye only goes in a minute amount TBH. They're all dyed in some way or another and I think generally, these leather dyes are the most favoured from reading around.

A purple Cob is next, with a slight mod. I'm just waiting on a few come through the door. Once I get them, I'm going to make a few inclined cherrywood/pokers.

Condor long cut in the winter sun, it's had time to mellow a bit having been packed yesterday. I've been in hospital since Friday morning with a sick baby & this is my 1st taste of freedom. She should hopefully be discharged today.

Some paul sko...? B&B . i cant remember the exact name and its two floors away from my warm spot on the couch..... Had a third of a bowl in the moonshine as i am still breaking it in... from the samples kindly shared by [MENTION=13408081]smokey joe[/MENTION] ... Delightfully smooth and easy going. Some nice subtle dark cherry flavours in the background. Really enjoyed it thank you!

Discovered the risk of smoking out in the falling temp.... Condensation in the bowl!
