No picture, but today I finally cracked open a tin of Murray era Dunhill Black Aromatic (from mid 1990's). Not usually into aromatics, but this stuff is really good. It's a burley/virginia blend with no real casing to speak of, and so far can't identify the flavouring. Maybe molasses? Burns clean to a fine ash. Smoked in a meerschaum.
A bowl of Penzance ?05 as a settler before the Calcutta Cup in my Wallenstein Chieftains Balance!
I?ve wanted to try this tobacco for an age and I am just delighted with it gentle perfume and underlying savoury notes ..... thank you @cj122 exceptionally generous of you brother
A bowl of the long awaited cornell and diehl autumn evening, not as sweet or flavorful as I expected but it did not disappoint. A solid smoke indeed! Rich tobacco and a touch of fruit and vanilla I would say. Really nice moisture straight out the tin too.just right for me not too wet
During the dark time I was away from the ukcigarforum, I embraced pipe smoking...... to make up for being skint whilst settling my divorce, lol..... I fell in love with dunhill nightcap and de luxe navy rolls pipe tobacco...... I'm so glad the Scandinavian tobacco group kept these recipes and sold them to the Peterson brand..... those are my go to pipe tobaccos......
