BCA is great for cutting/mixing other tobaccos with, add sweetness without altering flavour. A good filler. McClelland dark star is similar, I think they?ve recently stopped making pipe tobacco.

Had a bowl of Peterson signature flake while walking the dog at lunchtime. Very nice with an almost sweet taste. Watched a couple of YouTube videos over the weekend and think that I may have been packing my pipe too much in the past. Will see how it goes.

I've decided to try again smoking a pipe, and over Christmas bought a couple of cheap pipes to try with.
Yesterday I tried out a new cheap briar pipe with a bowl of Dunhill Nightcap

and today a bowl of luxury bullseye flake in a new cob.

Of the two I think I preferred the bullseye flake.
Thanks again to those who generously donated some sample for me to try and sorry for not getting round to it sooner!

Belated Happy New Year.
Hopefully it will be possible to enjoy a pipe or cigar with like minded people and in good, friendly company during 2019.
Marc
Enjoying some SG FVF in an Ashton bent Rhodesian briar pipe.

Not had a bowl for possibly a year.... this was a very enjoyable bowl of some aged Bagpipers Dream in the old cob!

I do enjoy a cob but I actually tend to smoke more bowls with it compared to my normal pipes ... weird

Looks like you?re breaking that one in Marc?
I came back to finish the bowl at sunset. Relighting a half smoked bowl is surprisingly good!

Peter Stokkebye PS3 blended with Kendal Flake in a cob slowly smouldering, I remember last time I smoked kendal flake it was very strong so taking it real easy, blend should make it just right.
