Too thin Tony, they don't fitOriginally posted by TonyN View PostNoticed you got no rubber bit on the stem is it because it's an old pipe.
Originally posted by the pondering moose View PostPrior to the anniversary Herf, I strolled with my pipe in the woods. A medium corncob with Danish Black Cherry that's been drying gently for thirty six hours. Noticeably easier to keep under control and a more subtle but still pleasant taste.

Classy. I've got a Peterson Irish Made Army to start breaking in shortly. Whether the origin story of the mount is apocryphal or not, the friction joint is a nifty thing.Originally posted by oskihen View PostIt is indeed

Alternatively, check one of the online retailers for a sampler selection. Maybe do that as well, and you'll get a fair few different tobaccos to get a feel of what you like, or don't, without breaking the bank."Go you good things...geddem int'ya"

Mac Baran Roll Cake Delux in the Brumfitt Zulu. Left to dry overnight, packed gently in layers, and smoked cautiously. Very tasty in a slightly floral and subtle way, and no tongue bite (which apparently old Mac is known for).

As I read more about pipe tobacco and learn more sampling, the more I have polite, respectful jealousy!Originally posted by oskihen View PostEsoterica Penzance
I know it's technically Germain's, but even the brand name intrigues.

Where abouts in Sussex are you from Alex?Originally posted by the pondering moose View Post
Evening pipe, aromatic #6 as one of the final half-fill breaking in smoked in the Petit Savinelli.
Though from fore-shortening it doesn't look very petit, it really is a dinky one.
