  • No pictures as I was in company moving briskly down Northumberland Avenue, but a nice bowl of kendal #6 aromatic shag in the becoming favourite Dr. Plumb filter pipe.

    • Similarly, no picture but HH Vintage Syrian (after speaking to Oski last night) in the boney looking Cob.

      Northumberlan Avenue? @ponderingmoose. Where's that?

Comes out at the bottom of Trafalgar Square. I was taking a field trip to see the Caravaggio Exhibition at the National Gallery.

                    • No picture, as I forgot, but my first experience of Mac Baren Cube today in a little Parker Rhodesian. It was... different, very nice room note that the taste nearly matched. They claim it's immune from bite (queue experiment) - seems to be the case, but ends up tasting weird.

                      • Saturday evening driving to and from disassembling and transporting bunk beds allowed a bowl of Askwith Kake in the wee meer-lined Weber.

I recently picked this up and TBH, not sure if I like it for some reason that I can't pin down.

It does have a certain potpourri sort of quality. But it is a bit strange, I grant you. Maybe I like it for the very indefinable reason you don't?

This is what I'm starting to love about pipe tobaccos, there are so many flavours and types, dividing opinion in a companionable way.

I think I almost 'got it' but have been smoking a lot of 'English' lately and perhaps I need another bowl to make my mind up. Keep 'em peeled as I'll likely pop it in the 'for sale' section rather than sit on if it doesn't do it for me.
