I havnt ate anything for two days due to the man flu gone back to work and going to have a drink with beckham another front cover this time the whiskey mag

Talking about beckham any one tried the Haig Club whiskey my son tried a sample at the duty free shop gatwick
realy nice apparently ever so smooth.

It will be smooth is a blended grain whisky

It's unlikely to have the depth of flavour of a good malt..... but then I don't know if it's pot or column distilled. I would guess column for grain

It's a lovely bottle with ?15 worth of whisky in it.

So one to save for later in the night for when your taste buds have been blown by the good stuff.

It does appear to have been made to compete with premium Vodkas in the looks department, I'm sure the pretentious types will like the look of it on their VIP room tables at exorbitant prices in big city clubs.

The penderyn is a lovely little tipple although my dad had some sat in the bottle for 2-3 years and it turned somewhat slimy [emoji20]

Yamazaki is a cracking little tipple. Probably my favourite whisky to pair with a cigar

They have the Yamazaki 12 in Tesco now. I guess I'll have to try it. It's such a shame that the sherry one is now almost impossible to get and over priced, Id have like to try it.
