Haha, brilliant. Another brand damaged by the Beckham's! Range Rover made a lady car with Vicky B. I'd like an old bottle of dimple but the cost. What's new dimple like?Originally posted by Budgie Smuggler View PostI saw a review when it was first released saying that it's essentially a whisky in the ?20-25 bracket with fake tits.

I have tried Octomore (I think it was 5.1) but I didn't think much of it. To me it was trying too hard to be the most heavily peated whisky and didn't taste that greatOriginally posted by SmokeyDave View PostA quick list of my favourites:
Dalmore Gran Reserva
Dalmore Valour
Bruichladdich Infinity
Octomore Comus
Lagavulin 16 & Distillers Edition (my absolute favourite whisky)
Ardbeg Corryvrecken
Ardbeg Supernova

Comus is the 4.1 expression in a frosted clear bottle. Matured in Sauternes wine casks, a completely different animal to all the other Octomore.Originally posted by Sgt_Banter View PostI have tried Octomore (I think it was 5.1) but I didn't think much of it. It is extremely smooth, complex and has a great peat finish, but the nose has hardly a hint of the pettiness that awaits.
I tried it at the distillery on a tour, came out raving and went to the bar to try the later release, to say it was "chalk & cheese" would be an understatement

That does sound a lot better and by your description it also sounds a lot different. The thing about the Octomore I tried was that you knew it was gonna be really peaty before you even sipped it as the smell was so strongOriginally posted by SmokeyDave View PostComus is the 4.1 expression in a frosted clear bottle.
