Just finished a bottle of Laphroaig PX Cask and quite sad about it..! Only available at airports so its going to be a while before I can get hold of another. I don't usually drink smokey malt with a cigar. I find that a cigar is better complimented by a sweeter malt, rum or brandy- However this malt is sublime.. Its got extra sweetness from maturing in a PX Sherry cask and I am in love with it.. Bye old friend, you served me well!

I've just booked a week in the Cairngorms and quite coincidentally it happens to be a 10 minute drive from both the Speyside & Dalwhinnie distilleries 😁

Aside from the sampling I'll be doing, does anyone have any recommendations from the above, nothing too ridiculous price-wise, ?50-60 a bottle will be my limit and obviously has to compliment the cigars I'll be taking.
