Have to disagree there on which is worse, I can always smoke slower and softer and control the loose draw and heat, but a plugged cigar can ruin not only your cigar but a good half hour in the pleasant and rare sunshine as you keep hacking messily away trying to get it right. The PerfecDraw usually does a good job but occasionally the cigar just has too many hidden knots... I just had a Cuban that took ages to get it to smoke right so I confess I am a bit raw.Originally posted by ha_banos View Post
One can often recover a tight draw on a cigar. One can never fix a loose draw.
I much prefer a firm draw. Today's no.4 was too tight a draw to begin with, but it opened up a bit too a typical Cuban firm draw by the 2nd third. It was very solid to the touch at cold. I was worried.

Niela Plasencia Reserve this evening - must admit I tried this after a review from Niels and I tend to agree with him spicy even possibly white pepper, but there is a sweetness that shines through. One caveat - if you don’t retrohale, you will miss 90% of what this cigar has to offer as it probably will taste rather bland
