What a fine thing to see pop up on screen one after a long absence - just what I was hoping for!

With any luck I hope to join you all - will be a nice way to break my non-voluntary cigar drought (there seems to be just no-one to smoke with in Cirencester).

Have to say that after a recent experience the Mayfair heating needs a tweak if it is very cold. No 10 is warmer on a cold night. Also Montague is very good. Finally, the Hyatt Churchill on Portman Square has a new outdoor terrace. I'm off there on Thursday to write it up for my App and will report back. Having driven past it I think it's going to be more of a summer venue however.

I'd prefer no.10 too. I'd prefer The May Fair even more.

Sounds like the decision is made to me, warm and able to drink vs cold and not able to drink...

Either venue sounds good to me. Trying to arrange work diary around this! Not massively fussed about drinking but don't fancy the idea of freezing my nuts off when a warmer option is available...

at boisdales you can not drink in the "sampling" lounge so if you want a drink and smoke you have to go on the balcony and as you might have noticed it's f........g cold and the do not have the best heaters in the world, unlike manchester street where the heaters are so hot monkey usually takes all his clothes off

I haven't been to either - why can you drink at one and not the other? Bar separated from smoking area?
