  • Brilliant night, H&F at their best. Great to meet those I haven't met before - hope to see you all again at the 2nd year herf in September.

T you were hammered but I don't remember you doing anything you shouldn't have. I must admit to having one too many myself. I'm sure I drunk at least a bottle of Krug myself, and then finished off with as much cognac as I could get my hands on.

And the chocolates....mmmhhh....ate far too many.

Fortunately I have a nice little Behike momento to stick in my humi. Great pack!

You didn't do any work till 10.30, you were posting here and on Facebook for the first two hours.

Do you work for a Government department?

          • I want details on what the after smoke thing Ajay's lot and some of ours did please. If Ajay was being cigar santa again I need to know what he was dishing out as I have to buy Jimmeh and an Italian friend what they missed as they looked after me instead of going on.

            • I know some of the forum were heading for a late one at No10 .My apologies Paul as i did the wise thing and headed home.
Trev, i managed to save you from falling on top of Mrs Ajay, hats off to Jimmeh for taking care of you. I drove past the Goring today and saw 2 vans from Pimlico plumbers outside, probably still unblocking the sink in the gents !
Though a great night was had by all, excellent venue ,courteous staff, great nibbles ,smokes and booze and most of all great to see the guys from the forum , many for the first time.
Went home with a superb hand rolled stogie a tad larger than the BHK 56.
Lots of goodies cant beat the evening for good value, and for some,... memories.

                  • really was a great afternoon/night/morning, started in jj at around 330 with a few of the guys got to the goring around 6ish, vast amounts of krug and cognac were consumed with two or three cigars (trev, jimmeh and paul all had a monster cigar each which seemed to take forever to smoke)
at about 930 quite a few of us jumped in a cab to no.10 even more drink was taken with more cigars, people started drifting of untill it was just simon and me left to fight the forums corner we of course consumed even more alcohol untill about 1230-1245 we were the last ones standing (well leaning really) and we staggered in not very straight lines to the underground.
just like to add it was great meeting up with new and old faces and i still have yet to meet anyone from the forum who i would not meet up with again i will not name all the people i spoke to just in case i miss any one out and offend, but you know how you are and it was a pleasure to meet and speak to you al, now were is the aspirin

                              • I can only echo what others have said. It was good to meet such a nice bunch of people who share this obsession with smoking fine Havanas.
It was most odd to be with so many other people puffing away on large stogies; my usual experience is for people to look at me strangely when I mention that I smoke cigars and then back away slowly. Then again, maybe that's just me.

It was very nice to put some faces to names and we certainly have some cracking people among our number on the forum. I enjoyed also having a chat with Mr Orchant, who treats his customers very well and Mr Chase who was a charming gentleman. I was going to take lots of pics but, alas, there were large cigars and free Krug, so never mind.

And thanks to Trevor for the entertainment
