As above. Some of the time you don't. Just make sure all your stash has gone through official channels. Or you freeze it yourself. Or both.Originally posted by hemal211 View PostI see some amazing collections.. My question is how do you keep your stash below 20 degrees? Even in the summer?

Agreed. Temp used to be a worry that beetles/ Cigar Weevils would hatch, if you freeze everything when you receive it, that eliminates the threats; just don't store in direct sunlight.Originally posted by ha_banos View PostAs above. This is news to me as a beginner! You literally put the cigars in the freezer?! [emoji3063]Originally posted by Simon Bolivar View PostAgreed. I guess this is something you do for peace of mind when purchasing cigars from unverified sources? Interesting!
Also... Simon, I was reading your thread about your cruise, sounds like a fun adventure. Updates still coming? [emoji3]

Hi Max, Not just straight in the freezer! The usual recommended procedure are to wrap in cling film or put in zip lock bags so they don't dry out or get freezer burn. 2 days fridge, 3 days in freezer, 2 days fridge. I just do this when buying in Cuba (they only freeze export stock) or buying from non Habanos official outlets. But I would recommend freezing stocks from Spain as I have seen weevils on the shelves & the owners didn't seem worried at all. Check the boxes for damage & then freeze.Originally posted by Max A View PostThis is news to me as a beginner! You literally put the cigars in the freezer?! [emoji3063]
