Welcome onboard & ditto what Midas said.Originally posted by Midas View PostWelcome aboard! Other than flavour profiles a big difference between Cubans and Non Cubans is smaller Cubans burn for just as long if not longer than Non Cubans of larger sizes so don’t be out off by their smaller size.
Cgars is a good place to start, they do a Cuban Robusto sampler if I remember right. Personally I’d recommend picking up a selection of Petit Coronas, they give you an intro to the flavour profiles of the different Marcas at around half the price of Robustos.

In no time at all the ‘rabbit hole’ will loom large and you will be working on your excuses as to how your collection grew

Any recommendations for Cubans preferably robusto/toro
For a lighter tasting Cuban robusto, you can't go wrong with a Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure no.2.
My two personal favourites are the Ramon Allones Specially Selected and Juan Lopez no.2.

Regalias are good smokes. JLP aren’t to everyone’s taste, the Petit Cazadores is the one that seems to get the best feedback. I quite like JLP, never amazing, rarely disappoints.
The good thing about starting at the bottom end is if you like them that’s great and if you don’t there’s only better options to try 😆.
Make sure you buy an airtight container, some Boveda packs and a digital hydrometer as well. Essential even if you’re only keeping a small number of sticks.
