Aged Cubans for Auction?

This is why provenance and trust is so essential when buying cuban cigars.
The price increases have basically made every brand that isn't exclusively short filler profitable to counterfeit. Cohiba would have suffered worse previously as that was the "premium" cigar brand, but they are now more highly scrutinised as a result. You'd be better off selling fake boxes of RyJ at a more modest return than trying to fob off a box of fake Behike, which would come under intense scrutiny (but does happen, fake Majestuosos anyone?)
When I hear "investment", that also fills me with doubt. We know if something is too good to be true, it probably is.

So saw these yesterday..
.. the box is a Cohiba 1966-2016 50th Anniversary Travel Humidor. It is a special edition humidor created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cohiba cigar brand, established in 1966.

The cigars are definitely not from that humidor, and having a closer look at the cigars, the bands do look a bit suspect. I didn't push the point but he says these were bought on his behalf. If they were nude then IMO they look great, and smell pretty flippin decent too. Think he's gonna just smoke them though, so maybe ignorance is bliss
The 50 cab of Lusitanias are from 2019 I think (not got them yet)
