This thread and similar ones on all the forums have been blown way out of proportion.
The book isn't cheap but very few of us can buy everything we want.
From what I have seen it has taken an enormous amount of time, effort and expense to produce.
There have been, we'll say "sharp" remarks from both sides of this argument but why are people denouncing a book based on price when they cannot have seen even a review of it yet. I know there will be retailers and resellers buying this, if they get the opportunity, if, and if so I know they will make a profit.
I am not saying that that makes it "right", I have no comment to make on that.
But we live in a global market, raise a hand everyone who bought cigars outside their country of residence last year.
Just as not many people making 1 dollar a day can afford a television, not many of us can afford a $5k - $10k book.
There is no rule that states we have to be able to. However, there are plenty of people who can.

CubanCigarWebsite is a great site and a great resource, the only one doing what it is doing and accurate.
However, many online cigar smokers either don't know or forget that MRN is responsible for most of Trevor's cigar pictures of pre-2003 stuff and much of the content of that website.

Still MRN is so pissed off he has now clearly said Fvck you to the wider community and also acknowledged he aparrently intends to control the market.

I'm sure the book will be great but I am not sure the man is by his current actions.

if you're referring to my first and only post here so far on the II Edition - it was directed at the comments here on this forum about the bamboo case and its origin as well as a reply to some price/value comments I consider over the top.
The information contained in that post was sent by the author to all interested in the II edition and authorized by him as it was public.

As to the CA thread : There is some idiot ( very mildly put ) impersonating Smallclub ( Frank ) who is insinuating another poster ( hahablahblah ) must be either MRN or me and posting twisted old "inside" information well known to members of ICC where MRN, I, and many others used to post many years back.

For the record : That is absolute BS intended to tarnish my name.

I've better things to do than follow that circus and only posted here and more regularly on FoH on the II Edition.

As stated in my blog, the post on the II edition is my last one.

I am happy to end it with the II Edition final information.

I will also no longer contribute on forums.

Are there any projects that are talked about and imagined for such a long period of time that ever live up to the near mythical image created by the public?
