Been there on and off this season - whilst I'm still building the business some pocket money from loading and beating is most welcome - and a couple of experienced keepers to bounce ideas and names off are a bonus. Also hoping that by helping out I can get one of the rare as hens' teeth January days they let for my roving syndicate. It will, of course, be a FAR smaller day.
Thats an absurd number! But i'll bet good tips for stuffers.... Mostly partridge?

First day out on saturday... 20-30 brace expected. Cant wait. Thinking an easy going NC like an orchant chubby or a nub sun grown.... All in woodland. Next week similar deal but in parklands around a house.... Party p2. Then beating a few weeks.... Not sure what to grapple when bushwhacking!

Ah ha! I am sure I read that - good article!

Nothing quite like a snap shot, on an arch angel, followed by a face full of ash because you didnt have time to put down your smoke, to remind you to get your act together on the peg!

My heritage is in farming and country life. My father left this behind aged 20 and as such, I am a city boy through and through... I am one step away from having moisturised hands.

In June of this year I went clay pigeon shooting for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. As modest as I may be, I was actually very good.

Would love to do it again!

I used to do a lot of vermin, woody's etc but don't bother much anymore. Mainly just the game season now.

Where up north are you based now @Rasputin?

A few year ago I bought a Hatsan Mod55, supposed to be good for a budget rifle, but I soon got cheesed off with it not hitting what I pointed it at so it was left sat in the loft after having only 1 tin of pellets through it.
The back end of last year I picked up a BSA Supersport springer, the higher end of the market. The difference between the 2 was incredible, and the BSA was hitting where it was pointing more often than not.

I have now got an Air Arms S200 PCP, a fantastic rifle, although the pull is short. PCP's are just too easy to shoot. Down at the range it hits what I point at 100% of the time. Out in the field I hit what I point at about 75% of the time, but I'm still learning, judging ranges, wind and other variables etc.
Now I need to learn a bit of field craft too, and learn how to get these critters to the table

As per my intro post, not only am I a budget cigar smoker, I'm a budget shooter too

I shoot air rifles. My old man has permissions around Selby/Tadcaster areas for Rabbits, Woodies and Squirrels. Relatively new to the whole shooting game, game...only started this year.
Up until 4 or 5 years ago I played Airsoft on a regular basis, but that is just a game.
