  • I have shares in a goldmine. Not many. One of the worst investments I made, lol!

    • Fingers 🤞 Mike! 4D Phara have shot up & I am showing nearly 40% profit there. Was 13% down on my ISA as a whole on Mon, nice to see things picking up; been awhile since I was at 0%.

      • Mine is currently at -2.93% but it's recovering slowly. Some friends of mine dropped £800k on their investments through Covid.

I probably won’t get back the money I invested in those. I bought these when I started out and wasn’t careful enough.

On the good side LVMH is on the rise again and I’m in the green for the first time since the Covid crisis.

          • Wow PJ, £800K is some loss, I am guessing that was in managed funds & they didn't personally set a stop loss? Still, I can only assume they had £2mil in a pension? My own pension fund is a fraction of their loss.

Impressive. I had a chat with a customer on Sunday who invested heavily into Apple 7 years ago. 800% benefits. He is thinking of selling them soon.

                • IMO Amazon, apple, Google obvious buys ages ago so why didn't I? ...

                  Hindsight is great.

                  • ITV may be worth a long-term punt after dropping out the FTSE today.

                      • Update: On the 11th Sep I bought £250 of shares in ICON, by end of play today the are up 67%. So maybe worth checking out.

I sold my remaining BooHoo, for a wee profit & spilt the proceeds to buy:

More TRX, which raised my avge but seems to be picking up a little. This is a long burner for me but I am sure such a life changing product, will see it achieve commercial success in due course.

HZM, Nickel being a vital part of EV batteries, this share has dbled recently & looks to have legs going fwd.

                              They’re reporting 30th Sept.

I’d get in within the next week.

                              • I think BooHoo are a good long term bet but I am hoping the ones I have just bought have great potential, if riskier.
But may buy back into Boo next yr.
