    Yeah...that's me unfortunately

Just closed at 32,4% so we will see how it fares at the end of the week.

Did better than me, Val took a dive, but it waited to me to top up first! Hopeful will regain it's losses over the next few weeks. Possible good time to buy though Habanas? If I'd have bought at the end of the day I could have lowered my avge nicely. Still DYOR.

      • BOO posted great results today. However, all the bulls are selling and have dropped the price down 25p this morning.

Val dropped on results, so have others, seems the saying buy on rumours, sell on results is a truism after all. My worst day ever yesterday, horrendous, glad to say, things are picking up a little today.
P.S. if I hadn't sold my BOO shares, I'd be nicely ahead on them now.

I’m in a similar position was nicely ahead, not anymore. Only stocks I’ve got still performing are Boohoo and 4d.

Still I think I’ll sit tight for the moment and pray they recover a bit. I’ve got some Tesla shares as well, which have dropped recently. Hopefully Elon will make some big announcement soon and they’ll surge forward again.

            • Use of words like hope and pray in here. Is this how other investors operate?

I've decided to sit on things for a while. Especially silver that's dumped 100/kg recently. Pah.

Figure of speech. I also intend to sit tight. Don’t generally offload and panic. But I invested In some silver a couple of months ago when it was rising 😟. Let’s wait and see it’s only money, gave up any idea of retiring with millions a long time ago. But I can still dream.

I'm expecting to leave money invested for the long term. Hope I don't need to get at it. Will shuffle it around as needed within the ISA but there it will stay. Its not a lot to start with.

Let's face it. Absolutely no point having money sitting around in the bank these days. We'll start paying for storing our money in the bank before long I expect.

If the global economics keep working in the same manner for the next 10 years perhaps that's the place to keep it. Investing in solid companies long term, or good funds ... Well that's the advice isn't it...

Might try my had at a little technical trading too once I figure out a platform.

Even property feels risky these days.

                  • Guys, whilst in no way a ‘tip’ you might be interested in looking at a company called BUSHVELD MINERALS (BMN).
I have held stock in them since 2013. Could have sold out when they reached 50p in 2018 but my valuation was well north of that figure. They have retraced significantly and are now considerably cheaper.
As I say, worth doing a bit of research into them, especially if you are an investor as opposed to a trader.

                    • Aye, these are turbulent times to be sure. 4D is my best share as well, I was £2k up but although I could have sold all or half, it didn't seem worth it as I really think they will go further & then I'd miss out, unless of course it dropped so much you can buy in cheaper (like I should have done with Val! Val is my weakest Pharma & I may dump that once it rises enough to take a small profit. SNG should really be performing better but sure that will rise again. GGP is still down but some very positive news from them recently. Aye, I am holding from here on in, take another look end of Q4, hopefully some of them will have improved by then.

                      • Anyone else have a grimmer week than last week? I was up £2k last night on 4D, knew it could go down on expected news so set a Stop Loss. Received & read the RNS this morning & was happy with it. Still sure some would sell I removed the stop loss as AIM can really range up & down & but even so was disappointed that it dropped 24% (so far), I guess plenty selling aren't from a medical background & didn't really understand that mostly is was good news & in line with reasonable expectations. Just rampers hyping peoples hopes beyond reasonable expectations for a phase II trial. Well I decided to stick & I am sure this will pay off, hopefully back to the 170p's before Christmas.

In an ideal world, I could have sold all last night & bought back in this morning, just above my current avge price but hey ho, if it was that easy - we'd all be rich.

                        • Hindsight is usually a killer. Trading individual stocks is a lottery, youve got to stay ahead of the news, know about trends - it feels more like technical analysis though - trading the graphs and events rather then the company!! Dont forget if you are where the crowds are looking those stocks can probably be manipulated, much like gold is nowadays I expect. I'm starting to er on the side of caution and bet on funds instead im thinking. A 4-5% compound return .. maybe ..

On the other hand Tiziana Life Sciences looks interesting. Just shot up 30%. They are de-merging and splitting into other stuff medical. All sounds intriguing! This ones a gamble!

Meanwhile Eurasia are back up 60% again this week! Roller coaster!

                          -20% + 60% ... whats next!?!

                          • They are some huge moves.

I took the plunge and bought a whole 0.6% of a single share in Tesla last week on the Freetrade app, currently 3.5% up, which is better than a kick in the balls. Not retiring this year but I wanted to have a go at something.

                            • I’ve decided to sit tight with my current investments, even though over the last week or so I’ve got from about 15% up to being 5% down overall today. Primarily because 4d and BooHoo have taken a bit of a dive. As I don’t need to sell I’ll wait and see, probably won’t vary my investments until after the new year.

I’ve had Tesla shares for a while and the price goes up and down more than a tarts nickers.
