Great work David now as mentioned earlier I need a 1 % added to the patch and I'll take one. If society has a problem with cigar smokers then the 1% is a fitting addition.

Once you have got the 2 NUB Grandes let me know what you think on scale, design, cigar band position and so on and we can then look a the 'real' wood version(MKIII). If the people who are going to supply the wood to you can turn it down to about 70mm diameter and 300mm long this would be a great help for me.

The detail on the lettering especially (burnt and stepped) only shows up in high res.

Warning though, get your orders in while you can, I've just taken on a job for a autistic support organisation (They help with our son who in addition to his CP is high functioning ASD) to re-do virtually every aspect of their graphics/logos/teaching materials et al.

It's for charidee though, and I really don't do enough of that kind of thing, but may take up quite a few weeks once I start.

Note: I have not fallen for Davros Cameron's 'Big Society' pitch!

It's not the same thing, but I came across this site in America (BlackZippo.com), it prints 'your own' designs onto Zippo's.
It doesn't seem too expensive either.
I thought I might try to 'cut-out' a circular version of the design and see if they could reproduce it.
What do you think, would it work?

I don't think the laser will etch a Zippo body after all, I tried putting the design onto a Zippo sized bit of aluminium today and the laser did not touch it! I will try some other metals when I get a chance. I think we have the lower powered version of the VersaLaser. I'll have a look at the Blck Zippo website Cat it sounds good.
