It's been a while since I've made a box purchase. But enjoyed one of these that I smoked, so thought they'd make a good value 'properly sized' cigar for handing out to visitors when the opportunity arises.

Surely if you store correctly you won't have any problems.

I would have thought so, especially with 65% boveda. Although I've got them all out of the cardboard and into a wooden humidor now anyway

Don't think there's a bad yr for Monte No4's in the last decade at least. Sure they'll be fine & ready to smoke. Question is are you going to leave them in the cardboard packets or take them out & store with your singles? Personally, I leave in tubes as I believe that adds something to the maturing process & ultimate flav but the cardboard adds nothing & is a mould risk if your humi's are slightly high - so personally I remove from cardboard.

You know what... I was literally just about to make a new post regarding the cardboard. I'd not thought about the potential mold issue, but I was more concerned about what the cardboard would do to the flavour, although I am smoking one now and its lovely so far, even after 6 years in cardboard, although I cant help thinking they'll be better kept in a wooden humidor.

So yes, I intend to ditch the cardboard and get them into my wooden humi as soon as I can after a reshuffle

I've not been able to find much info on them, dont seem to be anywhere near as popular as the Vigia or Reyes, but I like the vitola so decide they were worth a punt.

Unfortunately not a lot of age... MSL DIC 19, but I'll be trying to put them away for a while

They are young but in the end you have a number of years to smoke them slowly. I’m convinced you will like rhem

Then some Brick House Corona Larga as a budget NC after seeing someone on here (I think) compliment them.
