Ok just tried the Bernard Brasil Fresco..... Wowzers! Quite a bit stronger than the others. Quite a lot actually.

This stuff should be called humidor dust, you know the smell you get when you open your cigar stash... The one you sometimes open your cigar stash just to get a wee whiff of.. Well imagine if you could concentrate that smell and bottle it into an essence?

Ok now stop imagining and go out and buy a box of this snuff because its as damn near as close as your going to get unless you feel like ramming a Maduro up your conk.

Well I will be updating here when I try new ones, up to now I have preferred to the Poschl snuffs over the Gawith Hogarth.... They are a little more in your face.

Admittedly the Apricot is a bit of an Apricot flavour as opposed to the flavour of Apricots if you get my meaning, but I quite like it and find it very refreshing.
The Red Bull is a real get up and go snuff, I could see it opening the sinus and picking me up during a cold. As it is without a cold I noticeably became more focused almost immediately after insuflating, this increased focus lasted around 10-15 minutes before starting to wear.

The two Gawith Hogarth I have tried have been much much more laid back, like I said before they kind of brought me down into a state of relax. They were so close to each other I would probably find it hard to recommend one over the other. Given a choice and price/availability being the same.... I would flip a coin.

I'd be interested to know your thoughts on which of them you prefer and why.

Lol yeah, I went out and got about 10 or so different ones, I have the McChrystals Original & Genuine and The Viking Dark waiting to be tried.

Allong with, Bernard Brasil Fresco which is a schmelzier style, Fribourg Treyer Bureau, Gawith Hogarth Lakeland, J & H Wilson Medicated No. 99 (their standard No. 1 is supposedly one of the most iconic snuffs ever made.), Samuel Gawith Firedance (Blackberry, Whisky & Vanilla), Samuel Gawith Plum and Wilsons Jockey Club.

ValeTudoGuy, you're really going for it, aren't you?
I'm going to try some different 'flavours' - so far I have only tried the menthol McChrystals and the natural Viking Dark.

Gawith Hoggarth Dry Orange, actually very similar to the Sandalwood. There is no upfront orange flavor and to my senses it's quite evident that it uses the same base mix as the sandal wood but is perhaps just a tad more zingy... All in all they are both quite relaxed and easy going.

Both would probably pair well with a relaxing hot bath.

The snuff I have had up to now has come in the oblong dispenser type container so I have been tapping out onto the base of my thumb, flattening out slightly and a sharp but gentle nasal inhale.

I have just this morning stocked a few snuffs and most are in tins, so I imagine in that circumstance I will be a pincher.

I am yet to sneeze but I have found blowing ones nose 20-30 minutes after insuflation keeps everything clean and clear.

How do you take your snuff? I pinch between thumb and index finger, and breath very gently. I've tried the technique with a pinch on the back of the hand but I don't like the way the whole clump shoots into the nose.
