Cuba is one of the few safe places in the region for tourists to be able to walk about in without fear of robbery, kidnapping or being caught in a drugs cartel shootout.

    +1

And it's in you lots interest that the place doesn't change to much. Cuba is one of the few safe places in the region for tourists to be able to walk about in without fear of robbery, kidnapping or being caught in a drugs cartel shootout.

Haha! Yeah, it's gonna' take time to work out the logistics/regulations and pass the US Congress, but I think by the end of the year all Yankees will be allowed to vacationing in Cuba - two years at the most.

So how about a ten pack - whatever that is - that yanks will be allowed to tour/vacation in Cuba by the end of 2015 and a fiver by the end of March 2016?

BTW - how excited are you at the prospect of legally going to Cuba?

Bring it back with them yes. Knew that and it's only $100 worth. But what we are discussing, actually importing goods from Cuba in the mail is several months away. There is a ton of work that needs to be done before we can just place an order and have it shipped to my door.

Friends in the US of mine are very excited about this move, the chance for them to purchase cigars from Cuba is exciting and new for them.

I for one feel this is a mixed bag for everyone else.

But if this move is best for the Cuban people great. The next time I go to Havana I want to still see lots of happy locals, just like last time
