Couple of brilliant films involving Shia LeBeouf last year.

Oh that does sound very interesting especially with Ana de Arnas.Originally posted by PeeJay View PostAnother movie denied a cinematic release and available free on Network is Wasp Network. Lovers of Cuba will enjoy this movie about a Cuban spy network amongst exiles in Miami and told from a more Cuban slant this is not an action movie but it is a great story and if you're not already sympathetic to Cuba in their conflict with the States you may find it sways your opinion, especially if you watch the excellent BBC documentary on iPlayer which backs up the story with the truth. It also stars the beautiful Ana de Armas who is worth watching at any time.

If Cuba’s story is of interest to anyone I’d really recommend “Voices from the other side, An oral history of terrorism against Cuba” the book to hear much of what is never spoke of in the west

Knives out. Mrs Marple meets Colombo. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Looks great and audio is great if you have a system!

This was a film denied a cinematic release by the pandemic and instead released for rental on Amazon. It was well worth the rental fee. Twelve people deemed ‘deplorable’ by a liberal elite are abducted and flown abroad to be hunted for sport. A misspelled name means one of them is not who they’re supposed to be and they don’t take kindly to being hunted. Bloody and violent with a theme of ‘woke’ irony this was a very entertaining 90 minutes of action and humour. Betty Gilpin is the star and her character is one I’d happily watch again - 8/10

Dead Silence. Made by the same guy who did the Saw movies and was actually OK.
Keep an eye our for the Saw ‘easter egg‘ towards the end.

Just finished watching Alpha on Netflix - brilliantly executed visual film and one for all the dog lovers out there - fantastic!

Watched Snowpiercer the other day and enjoyed it especially as Bong Joon Ho always delivers on the audio-visual front.
Great movie and nice to see there is a mini-series now on Netflix which I’m assuming gives some backstory.
Worth a watch if you like your dystopian style movies.

The man who knew infinity.
Nice tale of an unknown genius mathematician. Self taught from Madras. Incredible glimpse into the view of maths from this mind and his desperation to share with the world via Trinity College. Fascinating.
Quite dramatised perhaps. But a good telling well made.
