For me it was a good excuse to get out of the house and admire some if the lovely outfits that Gucci were famous for. Other than that, I can't see any rewatch value in it.

Watched House of Gucci, it was okay, ignoring some truly awful accents and a very jarring score left a camp cheesy version of history. Wouldn’t advise anyone to go out of their way to watch though

Wait worse than the original? Now that’s a feat!Originally posted by PeeJay View PostJust watched 'The Suicide Squad' and it was nowhere as good as the original. The storyline borrows heavily from 'The Expendables' and oddly enough Stallone is in it as well albeit heavily disguised. The big bad is just a joke and Harley Quinn just isn't utilised enough. It was just about worth the rental but don't buy it.

He was a Cuban, but I can't remember what cigars he smoked in the film, think they are supposed to be Cohibas, esp when he makes it big.Originally posted by puff o'wind View PostLast week I watched Scarface. (Can tell my house is being redecorated and rebuilt after the the fire - my worshop is out of bounds so nothing creative to do but watch a good fillum and smoke a good cigar). Pacino is superb. I didnt like the character or his accent, but it never faltered and he was very good. A decent old fashioned film.
I remember he famously asked for Monte 2s in Scent of a Woman when he wanted Chris O'Donnell to disappear for a while so he could kill himself, a great film.

Looked on here last night for inspiration and so wathed Jolt. About twenty minutes in my wife, who had no idea why I had chosen Jolt says, "whoever told you this was good much just have really liked Kate Beckinsale!".Originally posted by PeeJay View PostIf you've got Amazon Prime give their new movie 'Jolt' a try. It stars the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale and is 90 minutes of very entertaining violent escapism, there wasn't a dull scene in it.
We finished the film and it was quite good to be honest, not as good as "Kate" (and nowhere as near as violent) but quite good, certainly watchable. Beckonsale is a nice actor - THE Beckinsale's daughter I believe. Interestingly the violence in this film, was all sort of noise and no bite - no guns really, no death, not much blood( apart from THAT scene which was truly disturbing). Yeah, worth the watching for sure. Thanks for the tip.

Stumbled across The Harder They Fall on netflix last night. VERY Tarantino-esque and also very good. Well worth watching and a lot of good cigar smoke...

Saw it last night can’t entirely make my mind up (which is kind of how I felt about bond) both visually amazing and sounded great, really pulled you in. Dune felt much longer than Bond but both really lacked much story or plot.Originally posted by mcdee View PostWent to see Dune tonight. Absolutely brilliant film. Visually spectacular. Definitely go and see it at the cinema, TV won't do it justice.
Bond I enjoyed but could barely remember afterwards, I vote for a Paloma spin off!
Dune had a very unusual combination of being fascinating and kind of dull at the same time.

I hope they pick a great actor that's not very well known to the mainstream. I don't like the idea of someone well known doing it. I don't think Daniel Craig was well known to the mainstream audience when he took it on.Originally posted by Shaun View Post
Idris Elba? Or a women?
My vote is for Tinie Tempah 😂👍🏻
