Went to see Dune tonight. Absolutely brilliant film. Visually spectacular. Definitely go and see it at the cinema, TV won't do it justice.

I finally got out of the house and had a chance to watch No Time To Die. I agree with others, the storyline was a bit weak, however I did enjoy it a lot still! I've personally enjoyed Daniel Craig as Bond, but this may reflect my age as most point to Sean Connery as the best 007.
Another point more related to cigars: Daniel Craig has been implementing cigars a lot more in his past couple of films. The cigar end he finds his villa in Jamaica? He actually smoked this himself on set 😁👍🏻 You can also expect to see a lot more cigar smoking in his return as detective in Knives Out 2 coming out next year.
The question is, who will be the next Bond?!Last edited by Max A; 25-10-2021, 09:39 AM.

Last night I watched Heat from 1995. It is pretty good and has stood the test of time. A bit long, 3 hours, but doesnt feel like it. Good steamy action from DeNiro and Pacino and some excellent dialogue. It makes the similar length latest Bond fillum look like the junk it is. THIS is how to make a 3 hour film.

Wanted to watch it but watches Rons gone wrong with the kids. Seems like I made a wise choice lol

Just saw Venom 1 and it was quite fun, esp once it got going and the Venom character was interacting with Tom Hardy... or should I say the next Bond... this thread all ties in together... unless timely Rege fresh off Bridgerton gets the part.

Be interested to know what you think of the latest Venom filmOriginally posted by Pandora View PostA couple of weeks on and I can't say as I really remember the film. The score was the best part of it, but maybe that's because I'm a music geek.
Anyway, back out for a double bill of sequels today. Halloween Kills and Venom: Let there be Carnage. Seen their predecessors very recently and love them so it will be interesting to see if these hold up 🤞🏻Last edited by Vitola; 19-10-2021, 12:45 PM.

Went Sunday to see bond, 4/10 at best. Non existent storyline, set piece chase me and a load of sentimental fluff to fill the time. Disappointed and dissatisfied

🤣🤣🤣 Yeah I’d kill the fucker if it was my 25 yr old daughter 😎Originally posted by puff o'wind View PostOK, I'm out on a limb but I get used to that.
Bond. Rubbish from start to finish. Daniel C is the most expressionaless actor I have ever seen apart from Darth Vader (the character).
Action scenes fast and furious but woefully underdeveloped and thus rubbish. Strong female roles? Well, hardly. Have you seen Mary Elizabeth Winstead in action? Thats a strong female. Or Emma Thompson? Or Lilly James?
I find the way Craig, a man who is 53 but looks 60, ends up in bed with 23 year olds a bit creepy. Imagine your daughter fresh out of university saying she's living with a bloke older than her dad! Yugh. Also quite unbelieveable...what do they do between killing baddies...swap "insta" stories?
I wont deconstruct this garbage as it would be unfair to those yet to see it...but garbage it is.
Sorry, all you Bondfans...

Very good film. Certainly didn’t feel like 3 hours. I can’t say too much without giving away spoilers.

It's a solid film. The expected action sequences are well executed. Two very strong female characters. Script is good. Score is lush - Zimmer is very much channelling Barry. However, the baddie was a bit meh and the ending was very bold.
