Sure you can do better Johnny; it was on a the last night I spent all night fishing, 15yrs ago! I had a friend over form England so the wife let me off the hook for once. Therefore was unusually able to have a couple of drinks, funnily enough we carp fished that night as it was summer & my mate did catch the only fish so everyone was happy. Amazingly I have a pic of the fish but we didn't take pics of the cigars - they those were crazy days eh - how did we ever remember what we smoked?2012-02-16_45.jpg

A fine catch JT, not a fisher myself but the idea of 48 hrs peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings sounds bloody brilliant. Hope you had a few nice sticks with you.

That certainly gives me something to aspire to Simon.

    Cracking fish n pix Johnny!!!

I've just gotten back into my sea fishing in a big way! Invested in a couple of new Daiwa reels and rod. Pleased as punch with me new gear. Was at Newhaven the other week. Caught gurnard, Makerel, baby bass, garfish, shad. Planning another trip out for the end of this month in hunt if the elusive Sea bass! And a few codling wouldn't go amiss! Bought a few bass stick lures to try out!

My fishing pal has his heart set on a little boat

I managed to get out for a 48 hour session for the first time in a couple of months. Even managed to bag a few too.
It felt really good to be back on the bank.

I agree. I have just moved house and my front door is now less than 100yards to the sea! Gonna use the opportunity to really get to know the coastline and "understand" how it fishes.

That's the thing, catching is great, but it's not totally what it's about. Relaxation, peace and quiet in some beautiful surroundings does the soul good !

Had a fruitless couple of hours this morning looking for bass. Not a bad walk though, wish i had taken a stick with me!

It is a fantastic way to kick back and relax Steve.
The river are now back open for general course fishing today too.
