If I track my iPad which sits under the coffee table in my living room it will show up as either in my front garden or the neighbours' back garden so accurate to about fifty feet

I was a mobile network tech for vodafone from 2002-2005 and even back then we could triangulate to within under 1/3 of a mile pretty quickly.
Phones have GPS now......

Though a relative was DCI John Durose, a somewhat known murder detective. His most famous case was the murder of a countess Teresa Lubienska in the 50's.
Even wrote a book about investigating murders.
