Small rant time - just taken a call from a well spoken lady who's 16yr old daughter went out last night and hasn't returned. Has never gone missing before, none of her friends know where she is and her phone is dead. I struggled to hear a lot of what she needed to tell me because her father was ranting and raving in the background about her not being there for his birthday. You can't make it up.

I don't know the total actually Simon but its in the hundreds obviously. When they run short of staff they just drag officers off the street to do the job.Originally posted by Simon Bolivar View Post30 out of how many total staff? Sounds awfully high attrition rate for any company. Luckily the serious money is some compensation eh? That's what people always say when they find out you work offshore!

Oh and we lose thirty staff a month across the three centres so yes, a high burn out ratio

Add thirty years police service to that Simon, definitely teflon coated.

I would think it's a job with a high burn out ratio, at 7 1/2 yrs is it time to look to something different & lighter or are teflon coated by now?
