No way I didn't realise that was how it worked. I am going to google my name and see if the house phone goes.....

And on a lighter note I took a call today from a girl called Cushelle, do you think her parents realised? I really respect the French having an approved list of names.

I hope no one on here is gullible enough to fall for this but your friends and relatives might be. We're seeing a big rise in people getting cold calls from someone claiming to be working on behalf of Microsoft who have identified a problem with your PC. Fortunately they can fix it remotely... you can guess the rest. Locked PC and a ransom demand to unlock it.

Part of me would like to hear the other side the story though.... You know, the non jaded side.

This thread is genius... Shred like a duck remains the highest point. PeeJay i tip my hat to your patience, and diligence. The job ad caused goosebumps. The rest huge giggles... Thx for sharing!

Two of my brothers are in the Police force. They both have the occasional interesting story too.

Back of the netOriginally posted by PeeJay View PostThis afternoon I took a call from a man complaining that police put his door in and didn't repair it to his satisfaction. What am I going to do about it? Well of course I promised to send an officer round within the hour to talk to him about getting it repaired of course, would he be in to see them? 'I'll make a point of it' says he. Easiest arrest enquiry ever I reckon. Sitting duck, he's wanted for theft
