Ditched my old job and I'm now a newbie Call Resolution Officer for South Yorkshire Police. Quite a novelty living in my own house at last! Still learning the ropes, but look forward to swapping stories! [emoji4]
On a more serious note I just took a call from a guy who is out looking for his girlfriend and left his mobile live after he finished talking to me, heard him say he was going to kill her and ask his friend if he had his knife with him. Yes we are trying to find her first!
Might be worth finding him first. Given you can get his cell site.

The young lady next to me has been complaining about the tea from the canteen tasting like Weeetabix, something to do with the oat biscuits she's dunking in it perhaps?
I've just taken a report of a new scam. Man in full Post Office uniform called at the victim's house and says he has a letter for him with unpaid postage. Insists on an an electronic payment for 65p but the card reader apparently didn't work. Suspect told the victim he would return with a new one and leaves. Victim is now suspicious and calls his bank to find he is missing ?300. Warn your friends and family.

I hope no one on here is gullible enough to fall for this but your friends and relatives might be. We're seeing a big rise in people getting cold calls from someone claiming to be working on behalf of Microsoft who have identified a problem with your PC. Fortunately they can fix it remotely... you can guess the rest. Locked PC and a ransom demand to unlock it.
This year alone have had that call 3 times as soon as I say I haven't got a computer they slam the phone down
old age pensioner only last week had his life savings stolen by the above call all it took was 5 minutes.
I've had the Microsoft call a few times, I normally just hang up on them. I've also had the we're doing a survey one a few times too. The funniest one I had was someone trying to sell me insurance for my sky box "okay sir that'll be ?9 a month, I just need your bank account number and sort code" I say "are you having a laugh? There's no way I'm giving you that over the phone, send me a direct debit mandate and I'll send it back" he then says "do you not trust me?" I say " why should I?" " because I'm from Sky television" "I don't know who you are and besides any one from sky wouldn't ask for these details over the phone bye"
